Important Update from Rivet

Rivet will be closing its doors for good on Sunday, October 31, 2021. We will continue to operate as usual until the last day and won’t be collecting any dues in November 2021.

We’ve made many sacrifices to keep the gym up and running; however, even as fortunate as we have been to weather the storm financially, we cannot continue, given the current situation. We had hoped that the GYMS Act of 2021 would have been a ray of hope for us, but it hasn’t progressed.

The building landlord wants to keep a gym in the Rivet space and list it as a turnkey gym space. However, he would be interested in finding someone to take over the facility from us, with an option to purchase the equipment to keep the gym operating. We want to see a gym continue to exist in the Sellwood neighborhood as we know it is essential for the well-being of those in the community. If you know of anyone that might want to take over the business, please let us know.

We want to thank our members, coaches, and community. Rivet opened its doors five years ago, and it’s been a wild ride, but it’s time to move on. We want to wish everyone the best. Stay strong, stay fit, and stay healthy.
